Online-Translator.Com Dictionaries Are Now Available Offline

St. Petersburg, November 20, 2012. The PROMT online translation service, Online-Translator.Com, reports that now the feature to translate words in mobile applications without the Internet access is available.

The Online-Translator.Com mobile applications for iPhone, iPad and Android have been released nearly a year ago and won the great popularity: the total number of downloads has exceeded one million. However, in the feedback, users often voiced a request for a feature to use the service offline.

"The need to translate often arises in situations when the Internet is unavailable or expensive, and you need the result in a minute: in trips, on lectures, on vacation when you are in roaming, – Boris Tikhomirov, the PROMT Internet Projects director, tells. – But we want our users to be able to translate in any situation. Therefore, in August, we released an offline phrase book for travelers, and now we continue our work in this field. Having downloaded dictionaries on their phone or a pad, our users will be able to translate unknown words offline."

The new function allows downloading several hundred dictionaries on business, science and education, techniques, health, purchases, sports, communication, travel and many others to translate from English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Despite a large volume, the entire database contains more than one million translations. Dictionaries are made rather compact: the installation requires less than 400 Mb of the device memory.

The dictionary download feature is only available in paid versions of applications; owners of free versions still can translate on the Internet. You can download the applications at AppStore and Google Play.

Those users, who have already purchased the Online-Translator.Com translator, will get free updates. For all others, the offline version costs only 129 rubles. At this price, the buyer gets not only the application itself, but also all dictionaries without restrictions. You do not have to pay extra charges for the content.

Online-Translator.Com mobile translators are released for iOS and Android phones and pads and are available in two versions: free and paid. The paid version does not contain any ads, allows downloading dictionaries and can be used offline, and also contains pronunciation examples for phrases from the phrase book that are recorded by a native speaker. Applications allow translating not only separate words, but also texts, SMS and e-mails, as well as web pages. Users can get translations of words and their transcription. Features for voice input and pronunciation are also available within the solution. Applications are used for communication, reading and translation.
